Privacy Policy

What information Kindline collects, how it is used and shared, and your choices.

Effective date: October 22, 2026

Kindline ("Kindline", "we", "us") is a co-parenting communication app operated by Law Offices of Jesus R. Lopez, PLLC, 8940 Fourwinds Dr., San Antonio, TX 78239 ("the operator"). This policy explains what information Kindline collects, how it is used and shared, and the choices you have. It applies to the Kindline mobile apps, the website kindlinecoparent.com and the record verification page.

The most important things to know

Information we collect

Account information. Your name, email address and password (stored by our authentication provider; we never see your password). If you use Sign in with Apple, we receive the name and email address Apple shares.

What you put in a case. Messages and their topics; photos and documents you attach; calendar items; custody schedule and parenting-time change requests; expenses, amounts and receipts; information about your children (for example doctors, allergies, medications, school, sizes and emergency contacts); and exchange check-ins. Kindline records who did each thing and when.

Location (optional). Only if you choose "Share my location" when checking in at a custody exchange, your device's location at that moment is added to the check-in. Kindline does not track your location at any other time.

Your private journal. Notes you write in "My journal" are stored on our servers so you can access them, but only you can see them. You can edit or delete them at any time.

Device and app information. A notification registration identifier for each device you sign in on; your app language and time zone (used to word notifications and records); and integrity attestations from Apple or Google (App Check) that confirm requests come from the genuine Kindline app.

Reports. If you report a message, we receive the report, your reason and details, and a copy of the reported message.

Usage limits. Counters of how many times per day you use AI help, exports, invitations, reports and check-ins, so we can prevent abuse.

How we use information

How information is shared

People who operate Kindline look at case content only when needed to review a report, to answer a request from someone in the case, to keep the service running, or when required by law.

Retention and deletion

Case records are kept for as long as the case exists, because both parents rely on a complete record. Deleting your account removes your login, profile, notification settings and usage counters, but messages and other records you already added to a case remain part of that case's record for the other parent. Your private journal is deleted with your account. Exported PDFs and their verification records are kept so that records can continue to be verified.

To ask about your information or request deletion of information that is not part of a shared case record, contact us below.

Children

Kindline is for adults. It is not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. Parents may add information about their children so both parents can care for them; that information is visible only to the people in the case.

Security

Information is encrypted in transit and stored with Google Cloud. Access to each case is enforced on our servers so that only people in the case can read it. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure.

Your choices

Changes

We will post changes to this policy here and update the effective date. If a change is significant we will tell you in the app.
